Hatem Sellami is Founder & CEO of RetSci, a company that helps retailers, wholesalers, and brands make better decision in merchandising and supply chain through artificial intelligence and advanced analytics technologies and services.
Dr. Sellami is also currently Founder & CEO of SaaS software company Cognira,
specializing in retail & wholesale promotion planning, management, and
optimization of all type of promotions. Cognira has been recognized as one of
the fastest growing companies in America by Inc. 5000 and Financial Times’ FT1000.
Prior to founding RetSci & Cognira, Dr. Sellami was CEO and Co-Founder of Predictix (now Infor Retail), a company that offered retail optimization and
predictive analytics software and services. Predictix was a leader in offering
cloud-based retail analytical software as a service (SaaS) solutions in forecasting & replenishment, planning & allocations, and pricing & promotions.
He co-founded Predictix after spending over 8 years with Retek (now Oracle Retail) where he managed Retek Labs. Retek Labs had the product management, science, and development responsibility for all of Retek’s predictive and optimization solutions.
Prior to managing Retek Labs, Dr. Sellami served as the Product Manager for the forecasting solutions (RDF). Before that he spent 5 years in the Retek consulting services organization playing various roles: Predictive Solutions
Consulting Manager, Solution Architect, Business Consultant, and Technical
Consultant. His career at Retek started as a science lead within the R&D group
responsible for the forecasting solution.
Dr. Sellami is considered a subject matter expert in retail forecasting and in
developing scientific solutions to retail problems. He has extensive experience
working with the largest and most successful retailers, wholesalers, and brands
around the world.
