Ahmed Benghazi

ABG CEO – Tunisian Member

Ahmed Benghazi is managing partner of ABG, a consulting boutique specialized in financial advisory.

  1. Benghazi was previously the co-founder and CEO of Axis Capital, a group of companies operating in financial advisory, asset management and brokerage. He more specifically headed the financial advisory business of the group, where he actively contributed to achieve mandates in M&A, capital raising, and listings on the Tunis stock market.

Before that, A. Benghazi was managing director of Maghreb Rating, a subsidiary of Fitch Ratings, first rating company to be set up in the North Africa region. In his early career, A. Benghazi worked at the Tunisian Ministry of Economic Development where he held various responsibilities. He amongst other contributed to the elaboration of macroeconomic reports and supervised the conception and follow up of the Tunisian privatization program in the early nineties.

  1. Benghazi received a MPA from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, a masters degree from the “Ecole Nationale d’Administration”, Tunis, and a BS degree from the “Faculté des Sciences Economiques”, Tunis.
  2. Benghazi served on the board of several institutions in Tunisia, from which the Central Bank of Tunisia. He is presently board member of a number of prominent private sector institutions.

Ahmed Benghazi is fluent in Arabic, French and English.
